First of all, let me wish you a very Merry Christmas! I hope your holiday is a wonderful time for family, laughter, and lots of love!
Also, since I got behind in posting all of the cookie recipes for 12 Cookies of Christmas, I wanted to share with you another fabulous Christmas cookie recipe. I’ll show you three more recipes after Christmas.

1 cup butter, softened
4 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract
1 cup chopped walnuts
Extra confectioners’ sugar for rolling
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Whisk together sugar and flour in large bowl. Cut in butter and combine with pastry blender or whisk turned in circular motion. Mixture should be crumbly.

Add vanilla and almond extracts and combine. Stir in walnuts and mix with hands until dough comes together (do not over mix).

Roll dough into 1 ¼ in. balls. Bake 11-13 min. or until bottoms are golden brown.

Remove from pan and cool for about 8 min. Roll cookies in confectioners’ sugar.

Psst! Just a word of advice…
The dough for these cookies can be rolled into balls and frozen for later baking.

These cookies look alot like Mexican Wedding Cakes. Yum!
Hi Caris!
These cookies actually are pretty much the same as Mexican wedding cakes. I just adapted the recipe a bit and changed the name to fit with the season:)
Those look yummy! I make a cookie that looks similar but i either add just chopped pecans to the dough or stuff the middle with a Hershey kiss.
